Hard Hush began in Brighton under the name of Hush originally, it encompassed a multi dance music genre, including Progressive House, Trance and Techno. After going back to a Tidy Weekender in 2013 and then hosting a unofficial pre party for the last time the Tidy Boys played in Hove, the Hush promoters Tache BK and partner had their passion for Hard House reinvigorated. This has then led to Hard Hush doing a number of Hard House events in Brighton at venues such as Volks, Zahara (Dust) and plenty of other bars/clubs. Hard Hush prides itself on being an all inclusive brand, we don’t care what your background is, where you come from, what you wear, everyone is welcome, we always have a massively welcoming and friendly vibe and always want people to just come and stomp on a dancefloor with us. Hard Hush has had a number of world famous DJ’s play, such as Andy Farley and Rob Tissera but we have always had a strong ethos of giving aspiring DJ’s an opportunity to play out […]

DJ Larrikin (Nick Jerrim) - originally hails from Tasmania, Australia, where he first started presenting shows on radio at age 16, soon starting the first show on air in Tasmania to specialise in house, breaks, techno and trance, bringing in guest DJ's in the scene to showcase other underground sounds. By 1990 he started DJing in nightclubs and soon after in the burgeoning underground rave and outdoor party scenes in Tassie. In 1999 he moved to the UK looking to explore what the birthplace of rave culture had to offer. Larrikin opened and operated nightclubs in Manchester, Leeds, Cambridge and finally Brighton, where he's been since 2007. Larrikin has a very diverse taste in music but these days when DJing he is most at home in the reggae, hip-hop, funk, soul, disco and house realms, with all the genres that shoot out from there. Larrikin is proud to be carrying the torch for the long running Sunday morning Missing Cat Club show which he's been at the helm of for a couple of years now after inheriting the show from the original cats Maxi McGoo, General Panic, Seph and Leon C.
