CodeSouth.FM House Artists

Dj Chang Man of the tiger claw clan is the best unsigned dj in the south.

Dj Vy was born and raised in Coventry, grew up listening to RnB, Hip-Hop, Reggae, then discovered a love for House & Garage aged 13, and the rest is history. Once he had his first mix it was simply, Todd Edwards, Victor Simonelli, Grant Nelson, Karl “Tuff Enuff” Brown, Danny J Lewis, MJ Cole, Roger Sanchez, Kenny Dope, Louie Vega, just to name a few, “I think you can see the pattern here”. Vy has over 25 years experience playing in various clubs, bars in the midlands, and being a resident on various different pirate radio stations up and down the country. Fast forward to 2023 after taking a number of years out I’m currently a resident for the House Party events, and after playing on various online radio shows I’m happy to be joining the CodeSouth family for a bi-weekly show dropping pure Deep House, Garage House, Soulful House vibes.

Coming from not-so-drury lane, I mix a wide variety of genres depending on the mood of the day. I’m very accustomed to House music, but you will find me spinning out Garage/DnB/Techno/Hip Hop and other bits inbetween! Whatever makes those ears wiggle!

J.K.S has been in the radio scene for many years, parting since 88/89, promoting since the 90s, DJing since 2007 ish, He plays a mixed bag, a blend of Melodic, Organic, Deep Soulful, Afro & Minimal Tech House, with a club classic or classic rework thrown in for good measure. Played at some of West London & London’s finest mainstream & underground venues & film studios

This genre-hopping Brighton based DJ will tear up the airwaves with anything from 70’s disco to acid techno. She isn’t afraid to mix it up and try something new. Charlene From Neighbours chases dopamine through music so you can guarantee there will be tunes that itch your brain and make you feel good.

Kaya Fyah was born and raised in North London, Enfield. Since the young age of 14, she has performed on stages such as Outlook festival, Love saves the day, Boomtown, Printworks and more. As well as performing alongside many legendary artists she has become a familiar face in the Congo Natty family. Mostly known for her involvement in the jungle scene though not tied down by any one genre, her sound can often be influenced by elements of rock & indie music. She has a big story to be told through her lyrics which can be heard in her first releases under her original name Toni-Kaya. The tracks are called “Jungle Woman and Don’t Let It Go” but she has taken back her stage name to truly own it this time. Ready to bring the FYAH.

Tor Lloyd

Hi Vibe Music for Hi Vibe Humans

I first started DJing in the early 90’s after working for a local independent record label; under Mistress Deviant. I graced the decks at legendary West London clubs such as Club UK, Subterannia, and The Milk Bar. Later in 90’s I switched to the London gay clubbing scene & graced the decks at Kitty Lips, Pumpin’ Curls, Clit Club, FIST & SKIN2 all under the DJ monica of Mistress Deviant. As I was also working for a record label – this eventually led to me hopping over the pond to the East Coast of the USA for 2 years. At this point I stepped away from the decks but continued my career in the music business for an independent record distributor. After returning to Blightly I moved from West London to Brighton in the early 2000’s & became a regular resident at the experimental techno night BEEP; & Sunday club – The Living Room; now DJing under BN1BOI. The Healing Power of Music and Beats

One of my favourite things to do has always been listening to music and discovering new tracks. This has been the case for as long as I can remember! Before I started DJing I used to spend hours every week trawling record shops and then later the internet and finding exciting new tunes and mixes to play for my friends at parties. Looking back, I always wanted to play music for people – it was in my heart. During the past few years life has really expanded for me as a DJ and I am now playing regularly at nights @ Coast, Worthing – often with my girlfriend Tor Lloyd – such as All 4 Love (a collab with me, Tor and our friends Tom Larkins and Lee Payne), Queens of House and Beats on the Beach (both hosted by Lizzie Curious), Girlflix (a brilliant lesbian and queer female event) and I / we have also been invited to play […]

Sam Anglo

Always Groovin'

Sam Anglo   Open Format Dj & Producer   Born in a small Sussex village to a Hippy parent in 1980, gave me a unique start in life, to say the least. Times were hard at some points, but the music was always booming out of the hazy smoked-filled lounge. The people were always interesting, along with spending a week in the summer holidays at Glastonbury Festival every year all added to the eclectic mix of culture, sounds, and freedom to grow and develop my character. There was always vinyl on the record player at home and I was taught at a young age the importance of looking after your sound and respecting the art that went into the process and the artwork that enveloped it to protect the precious music inside. I can’t be more grateful for the music I was brought up on and the cultural journey that it lead me to take as an artist. By 1992 […]
