Kooky is based in Brighton. Plays Tech House and dabbles in electronic music, electro tech. Has only been DJing a year and a half, after mysteriously recovering from years of Hyperacusis, making listening to music painful. Finally able to see her favourite influences Dom Dolla, John Summit and Gorgon City live. Was taught to DJ in a quick intensive method, by agreeing to taking part in a charity gig for Mind at Brighton Electric back in May 2023. Kooky appears at open deck venues Block Bar, Tiki Hut, The Mesmerist and upstairs at Rybka. Despite being neurodiverse Kooky continues to improve her DJ style. Loves nothing more than seeing people on the dancefloor vibing to her music. Kooky’s aims are to produce her own tracks in the future. @djkooky1
DJ Stevie Bee loves to see people dancing and enjoying themselves to his addictive toe-tapping energy. Stevie can go off piste with some old school bangers from time to time and also stays on top of the new sounds hitting the dance floors, so expect to hear these. Stevie loves a holiday and his vibes come from the small club scene in Ibiza and the Sunset Vibes from Greece. This is where his love of house music started all those years ago. Stevie has had a great year to date; DJ-ing for charity, Escape Bar and Forrest Row Worthing, Italian Apres Ski event in Sauze D’Oulx and running and managing the Sunset Vibe nights at the infamous Big Beach Cafe, Hove over the summer months where he collaborated with 6 other local and International DJs. His successful summer season culminated in being the warm-up DJ for a famous local DJ at the fabulous Hove Lagoon Festival. Stevie Bee is always […]
Originally from the Midlands where I cut my teeth blagging sets with the free party scene in the early 90’s. I lived in Brixton, South London where I have ran my own night, Deep Fried at the legendary Dogstar for 15 years and have been lucky enough to DJ along side the likes of Swayzak, Inland knights, Bent, DiY, Neon Heights. My musical policy has changed with my age and I now play less deep house and more funk, soul, hip-hop, funky breaks and disco LOTS OF DISCO! I’ve had releases on Katakana Edits, Tropical Disco, Spaindisco, Hot Digits, Hot Gorilla, Alpaca Edits, Discoholics Anonymous. I was co-resident with Brightons infamous Soul Casserole crew for 10 years. We have supported the likes of Norman Jay, Craig Charles, Don Letts, Giles Peterson, Crazy P and The Reflex.
Hard Hush began in Brighton under the name of Hush originally, it encompassed a multi dance music genre, including Progressive House, Trance and Techno. After going back to a Tidy Weekender in 2013 and then hosting a unofficial pre party for the last time the Tidy Boys played in Hove, the Hush promoters Tache BK and partner had their passion for Hard House reinvigorated. This has then led to Hard Hush doing a number of Hard House events in Brighton at venues such as Volks, Zahara (Dust) and plenty of other bars/clubs. Hard Hush prides itself on being an all inclusive brand, we don’t care what your background is, where you come from, what you wear, everyone is welcome, we always have a massively welcoming and friendly vibe and always want people to just come and stomp on a dancefloor with us. Hard Hush has had a number of world famous DJ’s play, such as Andy Farley and Rob Tissera but we have always had a strong ethos of giving aspiring DJ’s an opportunity to play out […]

My passion for House music started off 88/89 listening to Hip pop. I then moved into House music, following the likes of Paul Oakenfold. I started playing vinyl from 95/96 playing hard house tunes then moved onto trance, house and funky house. These days since 2014 I’m more into Deep house, Afro house vibes, organic House infused with Melodic and progressive House. Back in the 00s I was playing vinyl on the London boat parties then my own local events with a good friend of mine, then moved to the coast, where there I’ve found a chilled vibe playing deep house, organic house and soulful house. I’ve played alongside some great DJs: Terry Farley, Judge Jules, Secondcity, George Meddles, Tim Cullen, and most recently Brandon Block and Lisa Loud. I also run my own events called ARTEMIX here on the South East coast.
